What time is check in / checkout?
Check-in is available after 2pm, check out is before 10am.
Early arrivals and late departures may be available subject to hotel availability, please contact our reservations team for more information, some charges may apply.
Do you offer 24 hour reception?
The front office reception is open from 7am-10pm. After hours assistance is available by pressing the doorbell.
Can I check in if arriving after reception has closed?
Yes! If you anticipate this please contact us before arrival during reception hours to obtain your after hours check in instructions to our hotel.
Do I need a credit card to make a booking?
Yes. To confirm your booking, we ask that you provide the details of a valid credit card. Variations to this may apply during peak periods and at the property's discretion.
What is your cancellation policy?
A cancellation fee of one night's accommodation will apply to any booking cancelled within 48 hours of the arrival time. If no arrival time is specified, 6pm will be considered the arrival time. Cancellation fees will automatically be charged to the credit card provided, or deducted from the reservation deposit.
What information is required at check in?
On arrival a credit card pre-authorisation will be processed to secure all accommodation charges plus an additional security deposit up to the value of $50.00
An acceptable form of photo identification must also be provided for photocopy on request.
Do you accept Visa / MasterCard debit cards as a valid form of security?
Yes, however – Visa / MasterCard debit cards will be processed similar to an eftpos or cash transaction, your accommodation charges plus an additional amount for a security bond $50 will be deducted at the time of your arrival, the security bond will be returned upon a satisfactory room inspection at the time of your check out.
*Credit card surcharges apply when using the ‘credit’ feature attached to your debit card. AMEX & Diners card have 3.5% surcharge. Visa & Mastercard have 1.5%

How much does it cost for an additional person?
For guests sharing the same room with existing beddings an additional fee of $25.00 per person per night is applicable. Room rates are based on 2 persons.
What happens if I leave something behind? (Lost-Property)
Our guest service team will contact you immediately if any item is found in a room.
Lost property can be collected from the hotel with prior notice or cash on delivery postage can be arranged. We do not charge a handling fee

No, our no pet policy ensures that each room is kept to the highest degree of cleanliness. There is an animal shelter nearby to house and care for your loved pets.

Yes, The View on Hannans offers complimentary onsite car parking. Secure parking is available near most rooms and parking is available for large vehicles and trucks.
How far is your hotel from the nearest supermarkets / shopping centre?
We are only 350 meters away from the nearest supermarket (Woolworths) and post office. The shopping district is only a short walk from the hotel. View our Location
Does the hotel offer Laundry Facilities?
Yes, a coin operated laundry is available for the use of in-house guests, laundry detergent is available for purchase at reception. A same day dry cleaning service is also available Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays – charges apply.

We offer discounted access to the Oasis gym and olympic size swimming pool. Please ask for a voucher at reception.
Are all of your rooms located on the ground floor?
Yes, all of our rooms and apartments are located on the ground floor. Please note our executive apartments have a bedroom upstairs on a mezzanine floor.
Does your hotel have any Conference/Meeting Facilities?
The Blue Monkey restaurant is available to hire for meetings and functions. Our rooms can be also hired for smaller meetings and interviews at discounted rates.

Yes! We can store your luggage for you after check out. You must collect your luggage before reception closes otherwise it may not be retrievable until the following morning.
Will a pre-authorisation be applied to my credit card?
A $50 pre-authorisation will be applied to your MasterCard or Visa card on check in. This validates the presented card and acts as a bond to help protect both you and The View on Hannans from possible fraud. The pre-authorised amount is set aside on behalf of The View on Hannans by the card issuer and is released up to 14 days after check out, depending on the issuer. The pre-authorisation will affect your available funds balance or spending limit. Note a pre-authorisation is not a charge.
Are visitors allowed in guest rooms?
Yes! But not overnight. The View on Hannans maintains a strict no party policy.

What happens if I need something after hours?
In addition to on-site reception, The View on Hannans have an on-site manager to ensure the security of all guests and attend to urgent after hours enquiries.

Unfortunately we do not have a minibar facility in the room however, we do have The Blue Monkey Restaurant which is fully licensed
Are sightseeing tours and activities available?
There are a range of sightseeing tours in Kalgoorlie. Brochures are available from reception and staff can book them for you. There is hotel pick-up for most tours.
How much do baby cots cost?
Our cots are suitable for infants under 12 months old. We offer this service free of charge.
Is it hard to get a taxi from the hotel?
No, the receptionist has a direct line to the taxi company.
Where are you situated?
We are centrally located on the main street of Kalgoorlie at 430 Hannan Street. If you are travelling from Perth we after the BP petrol station, just after the Lionel Street traffic lights on the left hand side.
